Birmingham, UK – 9th & 10th July 2025
Marches Biogas made a powerful impression with its anaerobic digestion solutions in Birmingham, at this year’s World Biogas Expo and Conference, held at Birmingham’s NEC on July 9–10, where industry leaders from around the world gathered to explore the future of anaerobic digestion (AD) and renewable energy.
Positioned near the heart of the venue’s most active speaking areas, the Marches Biogas stand quickly became a hub of energy, expertise and engagement. From the outset our team stood out for offering something that few others could: a comprehensive, end-to-end anaerobic digestion solution.
A voice that stood out
A major highlight of the event was Lucy Lewis, Technical Manager at Marches Biogas, delivered an impactful presentation on health and safety in the AD sector. As part of an all-female speaker lineup in the Engine Room Theatre, Lucy’s session drew significant attention. Attendees were quick to follow up with visits to the stand, eager to learn more about the company’s innovative practices and long-standing expertise.

Driving global interest
Over the course of the two-day event, the stand attracted a wide range of visitors, from curious and new to the industry to seasoned industry professionals. Wednesday saw a particularly strong turnout, with many returning multiple times to dive deeper into the wide range solutions Glanua had to offer. By Thursday, while overall footfall had slowed, engagement remained high thanks to team members who helped carry insightful conversations with each of the delegates that visited our stand.
International interest was especially strong, with enthusiastic inquiries from representatives based in India, Japan and Australia. The visit from the Mayor of Victoria, Australia, highlighted growing global appetite for AD technology and opened doors for further collaboration.
A holistic AD offering
Marches Biogas showcased its ability to design, deliver, and manage full-scale anaerobic digestion projects. Now, as part of Glanua, the company extends even greater value through a wider portfolio of services, further solidifying its reputation as a full-spectrum AD provider.
The company’s commitment to education and innovation was clear. Visitors praised the clarity of the stand’s messaging and the knowledgeable team on hand. Social media buzz also amplified interest, particularly around the recent integration with Glanua.

Looking ahead
Reflecting on the event, the team is confident in the opportunities it has unlocked.
The show this year looked to be far busier than recent years’ said Mark Pugh, Director at Marches Biogas. ‘The decision to exhibit rather than visit certainly was a good move as the stand received numerous serious enquires’
With decades of hands-on experience, a skilled multidisciplinary team, and the resources of a larger group behind them, Marches Biogas continues to set the standard for safe, efficient, and sustainable anaerobic digestion solutions in the UK and beyond.
